Ron Menor was a member of the Honolulu City Council in Hawaii, representing District 9. He assumed office in 2013. He left office on January 2, 2021.
Menor ran for election to the Honolulu City Council to represent District 8 in Hawaii. He lost in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Menor (Democratic Party) also ran for election for Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii. He did not appear on the ballot for the Democratic primary on August 13, 2022.
Although elections for Honolulu City Council are officially nonpartisan, Menor was known to be a member of the Democratic Party, having run for both Hawaii State Senate and the U.S. House of Representatives as a Democrat.[1][2]
Menor passed away on January 17, 2023.[3]

The city of Honolulu, Hawaii, held elections for mayor and city council on November 8, 2016. A primary election took place on August 13, 2016. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was June 7, 2016. Five of the nine city council seats were up for election. Incumbent Ron Menor defeated Emil Svrcina in the Honolulu City Council, District 9 general election.[4]
