Roger Halls was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Halls' career experience includes working as a information technology. He served in the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2004.[1]

I moved to Stanley in 2004 after leaving the Army. I am a decorated two-tour Afghanistan/Iraq Veteran with a Bronze Star for my actions. My wife, Carrie (Pahl)Halls, was born and raised here, and we decided this would be the place to raise our children. We love our community and have loved watching our children grow and attend school here.
I sat on the Stanley City Council for nearly six years and enjoyed trying to make and keep Stanley the best place to raise our children. I have since worked with many charity organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Wisconsin, Wisconsin Fathers for Children and Families, Children's Miracle Network, and others, including groups that help support veteran outreach and increase access to mental health support. Having dealt with PTSD myself, I am deeply passionate about supporting those who have served and working towards preventing suicide within the veteran community. There is a lot of work to be done in Wisconsin to support access to mental healthcare, especially for veterans and rural areas.
I am running because I believe in leading by example. We must stop the nonsense bickering with each other and return to being neighbors. Regardless of what others may say, we are all on the same team here; we are residents of District 69, Wisconsin, and the United States of America. We all want what is best and we should be able to work toward that goal. I will work to keep politicians out of private medical decisions. I
- Your healthcare choices should be yours alone. We support keeping government out of personal healthcare decisions, ensuring individuals have the freedom to make informed choices with their doctors.
- We must commit to equality for all. This means standing up against discrimination and ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities and rights. Our diversity is our strength, and together, we can build a Wisconsin that is inclusive and fair.
- Economic opportunity should be available to everyone, no matter where they live. Our rural areas need support to thrive, which includes expanding rural broadband. High-speed internet is essential for businesses, education, and healthcare. We cannot afford to leave any community disconnected.
Healthcare is a fundamental right. We need to make sure that everyone has access to affordable, quality healthcare, including mental health services. No one should have to choose between paying for healthcare and putting food on the table.
An elected official should embody several key characteristics and principles to effectively serve their constituents: Integrity, Accountability, Empathy, Dedication to Public Service, Fairness and Justice, Transparency, Collaboration, Compromise, Vision, Resilience, and Commitment to Equality.
Not necessarily to be remembered, but to make sure I left this world in a better place for generations to come.
I was seven years old when the space shuttle Challenger exploded. I remember coming home to my dad watching it on the news. I knew it was serious because my dad never watched the news.
Superman/Clark Kent. With all the power he had, he still chose to use it for good.
I struggled for quite some time with mental illness. When I got home from two tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, my family and I suffered greatly from PTSD. From constant depression and waking nightmares to being unable to leave the house. Thankfully VA was eventually able to help me through it and give me the tools needed to live a happy life.
