Greta Neubauer (Democratic Party) is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing District 66. She assumed office on January 27, 2018. Her current term ends on January 4, 2027.
Neubauer (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Wisconsin State Assembly to represent District 66. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Neubauer began serving as state House minority leader in January 2022.[1]
Biography
Greta Neubauer was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin. She graduated from the Prairie School in 2010 and earned a B.A. in history from Middlebury College in 2015. Neubauer's career experience includes working as a legislative aide to State Representative Cory Mason, the director and co-founder of the Fossil Fuel Divestment Student Network, and the co-founder of Divest Middlebury. She has been the board chair of the Racine Hospitality Center and volunteered with the Racine Interfaith Coalition, Visioning Greater Racine, the NAACP-Racine Branch, the Great Lakes Legislative Caucus, the National Caucus of Environmental Legislators, Planned Parenthood, and the Democratic Party of Racine County. Neubauer was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly as the Assembly District 66 representative. [2]

2018 special election
A special election for the position of Wisconsin State Assembly District 66 was held on January 16, 2018. The primary election took place on December 19, 2017. The filing deadline for candidates running in this election was November 21, 2017.[3]
On November 7, 2017, Representative Cory Mason (D) announced that he would resign from the state Assembly effective January 15, 2018. He was elected as mayor of Racine on October 17, 2017.[4]
Greta Neubauer (D) won unopposed in the general election.[5]
Neubauer defeated John Tate II in the Democratic primary. No Republican candidates filed for election.[6]
