Oliver Robinson (b. March 13, 1960) is a former Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 58, Jefferson County from 1998 to 2016. He retired on November 30, 2016, wishing to avoid conflicts of interest resulting from his daughter's appointment as Governor's Liaison to the House of Representatives.
Biography
Robinson was previously a professional basketball player with the San Antonio Spurs.

Robinson won re-election to the District 58 seat in 2010. He had no opposition.[5]

On November 7, 2006, Robinson was re-elected to the District 58 seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, defeating opponent Richard Rutledge (R).[6]
Robinson raised $175,163 for his campaign, while Rutledge raised $2,400.[7]

Robinson and his wife, Sakina, have three children.
He is a member of Bethel Baptist Church - West End, Phi Beta Sigma, and treasurer of the Keep Birmingham Beautiful Commission.[8]
