Larry McKinzie (Democratic Party) ran for election to the Texas State Board of Education to represent District 4. McKinzie lost in the Democratic primary on March 1, 2022.

McKinzie filed for District 4 member of the Texas State Board of Education in 2020. The seat was not up for election in 2020 and his candidacy was removed.[1]

Biography

Larry McKinzie earned a B.S. in biology and medical technology from Prairie View A&M University. McKinzie's career experience includes working as a middle school teacher. He has served on the board of the South Central Sportz Little League and the United Urban Alumni Association.[2][3]
