I'm a Constitutional Conservative who loves America.

I was the Republican runner up last election cycle. I am running again, because as a father of 2 small children I am worried about the country our children will inherit. I have been a guest in many Conservative Media outlets in TV and radio due to my bold conservative views, all of which you can watch here: https://joseforflorida.com/news-1 I spent my entire career working in Hospitality Management. I currently work in Management at Disney World Resort in the Resorts division. I believe it's time we "Return the American Dream Back to the American People".

For more information, please visit JoseForFlorida.com.
  • Secure the Border: We need to secure our border and end illegal immigration immediately.
  • Jobs & Economy: It's about time return the American Dream to the American People. We need to keep jobs in America, stop the reckless monetary policy that caused so much inflation, & promote American energy independence.
  • Election Integrity: "A Republic if you can keep it", the famous words spoken by Ben Franklin. It is clear after 2020 that the strength of our union depends on Americans trusting our elections system, but we need an election system that Americans can trust. Congress has the responsibility of rejecting electoral votes from states that to not follow the Constitution for Federal Elections.
The US Constitution: Our country would be in a much better shape if we actually measured every single law against our constitution.
My grandfather. He was a successful businessman who made his own fortune, but most importantly always took the time to teach me about good and evil.
I recommend voters read the US Constitution and watch a video called overview of America by the John Birch Society. You can watch it on my website: https://joseforflorida.com/meet-jose
All Congressman have to swear an oath to uphold the Constitution, unfortunately very few actually do. I was born in America but lived abroad for several years in a country where rights and freedoms were granted and taken easily by the Government. I better than most understand the importance of protecting our rights and freedom that are enshrined in our Constitution.
Uphold the US Constitution and represent the constituents who elected you.
Despite having to swear to uphold and defend the Constitution prior to taking office, most members of Congress completely ignore that sacred document that created the United States of America. I hope to be remembered as one of the members of Congress that helped pull the reigns back on our current runway Federal Government
I worked at my grandfather's auto parts store as kid during the summers.
The Power of the Purse. We can continue to complain about unelected bureaucrats running our country or we can simply defund rogue and unconstitutional agencies.
Certainly, previous experience can be beneficial, but our founding fathers envisioned a House of Representatives with members from all walks of life. Career politicians are detrimental to our way of government. I come from a long line of successful business owners. I've spent my entire career working in management I am involved in my community. I am certainly better qualified to represent my district than the Liberal Progressive Democrat that is currently doing so.
The policies of the left are taking our country in the wrong direction.
I would vote to add Term Limits for members of Congress.
There is not one that I agree with 100% of the time, but several come to mind such as Thomas Massie-KY, Matt Gaetz-FL, Byron Donalds-FL, Anna Paulina Luna-FL & Dan Bishop-NC.
At one point during the pandemic lockdowns, my district had 33% unemployment. Many families were struggling to figure out how to put food on their table and pay for the roof over their heads.

Once jobs came back, parents in my community were forced to vaccinate or risk losing their jobs again. Unlike my opponent who applauded these policies, I understand that my job will be to protect everyone else's job.

I am going to Congress to be a voice for the people and to make sure that something like this never ever happens again.
As told by Ronald Reagan, a child was outside a DNC event selling Democrat kittens. A week later, Republicans were in town and the kid was now selling Republican kittens. A reporter who had been there the week prior asked the child what made the kittens turn from Democrat to Republican. The child responded by saying that the kittens now had their eyes open.
We should never compromise on our own values nor values that made this country great.
We would fund the Border Wall on day one and we would stop the reckless monetary policy of printing & borrowing funds to pay for things we cannot afford.
We have open border and zero accountability. The US House needs to impeach any President and his unelected bureaucrats who refuse to uphold our laws.

A-Rating Gun Owners of America
Bill Olson - 2020 Republican Congressional Nominee for Florida District 9
Scotty Moore - 2022 Republican Congressional Nominee for Florida District 9

Endorsed by the Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Florida
We need much more transparency and accountability.

How does someone like Nancy Pelosi become a multi-millionaire on a 170K salary? Did the US government fund Covid labs in China? If so, who will be held accountable for it.

I am a Freedom loving American devoted to my family, my community and someone who will never be in the back pocket of special interest groups.

I was born in New Orleans but grew up in my mother's native country of Honduras. Growing up in Central America, I was exposed to what a corrupt and failed government looks like. My experience there helped me foster a great appreciation for our Constitution and our rights as citizens. In Congress, I will stand up for our freedom and liberty.

I first came to Florida to pursue a Hospitality career and I currently work in management at Walt Disney World as a Resort Duty Manager. Most recently, I have been featured on Fox News, Newsmax and OANN as an outspoken critic of the direction the company's executives are taking. I have said repeatedly that I am not afraid of losing my job for voicing my opinion, but rather I am afraid of losing my country if I don't.

I attended an American K-12 school during my years in Honduras. I returned to New Orleans where I obtained a Management degree from the University of New Orleans and later a Master of Business Administration degree from Tulane University.

  • Protect American Jobs & Economy

  • Promote America First Policies
Protecting our Rights & Freedom: Our country has prospered under the values of individual responsibility and freedom. During the pandemic, career politicians like my opponent applauded lockdown and mandate policies that attacked the very principles this country was founded upon. We need someone who will preserve & promote those values in order to protect the future of this great nation.

Protecting America: America has always been a beacon of hope for the rest of the free world, thus is unsurprising that we have become a magnet for immigrants from all over the world. Illegal Immigrants that seek a better life, yet ignore our laws, chip away at the values that attracted them here in the first place. It is imperative that we secure our border and end illegal immigration.
I love my country, I'm a leader in my community, and I'm not afraid to stand up for what is right.
I love my country, I'm a leader in my community, and I'm not afraid to stand up for what is right.
I will uphold the Constitution while looking out for the best interest of my constituents.
I worked at my grandfather's auto parts store during summers as a kid.
I learned a lot of from him about work ethic and entrepreneurship.
Good to Great - Jim Collins.
Our founding fathers envisioned a House of Representatives with members from all walks of life. Certainly, previous experience can be beneficial, but politicians become out of touch when they make a career out of public office.
We need to go back to the principles that made our nation great such economic freedom, individual responsibility, entrepreneurship.

At the beginning of the lockdowns both Democrats and Republicans were critical of Representative Thomas Massie from Kentucky. He stood up for his principles and showed us the importance of electing someone with backbone.
I live in Theme Park Capital of the World and at one point during the lockdowns we had 33% unemployment. Campaign website

Castillo's campaign website stated the following:

Protecting our Jobs

During the Pandemic Career Politicians like my opponent told us we were not allowed to open businesses or earn a living. The lockdowns nearly destroyed our economy & my district suffered with up to 33% unemployment.

I am going to Congress to make sure this never ever happens again.

Protecting our Kids

We need to let kids be kids.

Our children should not be subjected to indoctrination by special interest groups.

Protecting our Medical Freedom

Americans should not be forced to take a vaccine to keep their employment. Not only did my opponent support Biden's unconstitutional Vaccine Mandate, but he did so while receiving over $200K in donations from the Big Pharma, Insurance and Healthcare Industries.

Protecting our 2nd Amendment

We have a God given right to protect ourselves, our property, and our liberty.

Protecting the Economy

We need Energy Independence and stop Joe Biden's runaway inflation.

Protecting the Unborn

We must protect and defend those that cannot yet fight for themselves.

Protecting our Elections

We must continue to push for more Election Integrity.

Protecting our Freedom of Speech

My opponent asked the Facebook & Twitter for more censorship.

I am going to Congress to fight for more Freedom & less Censorship

Protecting America

We need to make sure our military is ready at all times but send our troops to battle only when Congress declares war & the battle is absolutely necessary.

Supporting our troops means supporting their families & our veterans.

Protecting our Borders

Every year $40Billion is sent out of our economy and into Latin America alone. Illegal Immigration is simply not sustainable.

We need to secure our border to make it harder to come to America illegally.

Protecting the States

Washington politicians ignore the 10th Amendment which reads: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people." Any law that does not meet that standard needs to be repealed. Congress also needs to read the bill before they vote on them to prevent special interest from influencing our nation's laws.

Protecting Religious Freedom

Many were arrested during the lockdowns for simply practicing their religion. The US Constitution is clear & our Supreme Court was clear: "The restrictions at issue here, by effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the very heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty."[5]

I am a hard working tax payer, hospitality worker, Second Amendment supporter, and a Constitutionalist who will never be in the back pocket of special interest groups. I am devoted to my family, my community and will put people ahead of politics.

Like many in the district, I relocated to Central Florida to pursue a Hospitality career. I have worked in management at several local theme parks and resorts. I have been part of the Central Florida community now for over decade and reside in Polk County with my family.
