Joanne Favors is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing District 28 from 2004 to 2018. Favors served as minority whip from 2014 to 2018. She previously served as minority caucus vice chair. Favors did not file to run for re-election in 2018.

Biography

Favors earned her AS and B.S. in nursing. She received her M.S. in nursing administration/adult health. Favors previously worked as the executive director of Southside and Dodson Avenue Community Health Centers.

On Nov. 4, 2008, Favors won re-election to the 29th District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponent Basil Marceaux (R).[12]
