Jim Hackworth (b. March 18, 1951) is a former Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 33rd District from 2003 to 2011.
Hackworth is a Project Leader/Manager for Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Hackworth studied applied organizational management at Tusculum College in 1994. He also received his AA in supervision/management from Roane State University in 1994. He went on to earn his B.A. and M.A. from Roane State University in 1994 and 1996, respectively.

2012
Hackworth ran in the 2012 election for Tennessee House of Representatives, District 33. Hackworth ran unopposed in the August 2 primary election and was defeated by incumbent John Ragan (R) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[1][2]
2010
Hackworth ran for re-election to the 33rd District seat in 2010. He was unopposed in the August 5 primary.[3] He was defeated by Republican John Ragan in the general election on November 2, 2010.[4]
2008
On Nov. 4, 2008, Hackworth won re-election to the 33rd District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponent Alex Moseley (R).[5]
Hackworth raised $121,398 for his campaign while Moseley raised $4,238.[6]
