Biography
Doreen Carter lives in Lithonia, Georgia.[1] Carter earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Georgia State University, an M.A. in theology from Life Christian University, and an M.B.A. from Kennesaw State University. Her career experience includes owning a financial education company and working as a controller with Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta, the CFO of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Georgia, and the comptroller of the Georgia Congress of Parents & Teachers.[1][2]

Carter ran in the 2012 election for Georgia House of Representatives District 92. Carter ran against Tonya Anderson, Kathy L. Harvey, Sherri Len Washington and Doreen Williams in the Democratic primary on July 31, 2012. Doreen Williams and Tonya P. Anderson advanced to the runoff primary to determine the district seat.[11] The general election took place on November 6, 2012.[12][13]
