Ben West, Jr. (b. March 19, 1941) was a Democratic member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 60th District. West joined the Tennessee State House of Representatives in 1985.

West was the Vice President of First American National Bank from 1960 to 1984. In 1984, he was President of Security Express, Limited Liability Company. He also worked as President of Security Express Protective Services, Limited Liability Company in 1986. From 1987 to 1994, he was Vice President of Southtrust Bank. West was the President of Automated Teller Machines Unlimited, Limited Liability Company in 1996. He has worked as President/Vice President/Chief Executive Officer/Owner of Security Express, Limited Liability Company since 1996.

West received his Certificate from American Management School and the American Institute of Banking. He attended the University of Miami and Sewanee Military Academy in 1960. He then received his Certificate from the Tennessee School of Banking in 1973.

West did not run for re-election to the 60th District seat in 2010. The primary was held on August 5, 2010. The general election took place on November 2, 2010.

2008

On Nov. 4, 2008, West won re-election to the 60th District Seat in the Tennessee House of Representatives, defeating opponent Ron Hickman (R).[1]

West raised $29,575 for his campaign while Hickman raised $2,808.[2]
