When I started the Redis project more than ten years ago I was in one of the most exciting moments of my career. My co-founder and I had successfully launched two of the major web 2.0 services of the Italian web. Edis's goal is to be a drop-in replacement for Redis when persistence is more important than holding the dataset in-memory. Edis (currently) uses Google's leveldb as a backend.
