The 2020 Sony World Photography Awards Open competition category winners are announced.

毎日新聞社主催の第３７回土門拳賞選考会は、２月２０日に東京都千代田区一ツ橋の毎日新聞社で開かれ、潮田登久子氏（７８）に決定した。受賞対象となったのは写真集「本の景色　ＢＩＢＬＩＯＴＨＥＣＡ」（発行・ウシマオダ、発売・幻戯書房）。 ９０人あまりの推薦委員から推薦された１７作品の中から、潮田氏の作品の他、飯島幸永氏の写真集「暖流」（彩流社）、紀成道氏の写真集「Ｔｏｕｃｈ　ｔｈｅ　ｆｏｒｅｓｔ，ｔｏｕｃｈｅｄ　ｂｙ　ｔｈｅ　ｆｏｒｅｓｔ．」（赤々舎）、菱田雄介氏の写真集「ｂｏｒｄｅｒ－ｋｏｒｅａ」（リブロアルテ）が最終選考に残った。「本の景色　ＢＩＢＬＩＯＴＨＥＣＡ」は、潮田氏が確かな存在感を放つ古書を追い求め、図書館、古書店、個人の蔵書、出版社の編集室などで撮り続けたもの。人の手を経て変化した本の風貌、長い時間がもたらした重み、その本に触れた誰とも知れない人間たちの「生」が静かに迫ってくる。自
