Delbar Opens in Buckhead, Plus More Atlanta Restaurant Openings in November

Here are some noteworthy restaurants opening around Atlanta this November.

Delbar opens third location in Buckhead

The Michelin-recommended Middle Eastern restaurant Delbar opened its third location in Buckhead (at the corner of Peachtree Road and West Paces Ferry Road) on November 18. It joins its other locations in Inman Park and Alpharetta. Expect a similar menu of dishes Delbar is known for, including its popular brunch spread. The Buckhead location offers indoor and outdoor bars with cocktails made with Middle Eastern flavors.

New Taco Mac location opening in Conyers

Sports bar and wing joint Taco Mac is opening a location in Conyers on November 25. Taco Mac CEO Harold Martin Jr. will be at the ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. on opening day. The restaurant chain is known for its 165-inch LED wall for game-watching, 17 different sauces and rubs used for its chicken wings, and plenty of national and local beers on draft.

The original Desta Ethiopian Kitchen is moving to a new location

After 19 years of business, Desta Ethiopian Kitchen announced on social media that it’s moving from its original location on Briarcliff. The restaurant will move to The Village at Druid Hills this winter. The date for the grand opening has yet to be announced. There is an additional location on Marietta Boulevard. The one in Emory Point is temporarily closed.

Aviva by Kameel opens third location in Buckhead

The Mediterranean and halal restaurant Aviva by Kameel opened its third location on November 8 in Buckhead. It joins the original locations at Peachtree Center and another in Midtown. Known for its shawarma, hummus, and falafel, the Buckhead location will also serve beer and wine. It is open every day except on Sundays.

A cocktail bar inside a refurbished vintage tour bus comes to Reynoldstown

It’s called Tiger Sun, and comes from the same team behind Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall, Muchacho, Ranger Station, Strangers in Paradise, and the Electric Room. The cocktail bar opens on November 20 behind Muchacho in Reynoldstown. There’s lots to take in here: first, it’s inside a vintage tour bus. Second, it’s an “omakase-inspired” experience, meaning there are only 18 seats with themed courses of cocktails and light bites. The opening menu is inspired by the 80’s classic, Karate Kid, and offers two menus to choose from: Wax On and Wax Off. Menu themes will change throughout the year. Reservations are available now.

A new coffee shop and bar opens in Ponce City Market

The Upper Room, a cafe and bar by Kelsey Maynor and Shakirah DeMesier, serves coffee, tea, cocktails, wine, and light bites. It is now open Wednesday to Sunday inside Citizen Supply on the second floor of the Central Food Hall. Beyond coffee and tea, the menu focuses on spirits from Black-owned brands. Snacks include parmesan popcorn, jerk plantain patties, salmon patties, salads, sandwiches, and more.

New Jersey’s Bro-Ritos opens first Georgia location

The popular Black-owned food truck from New Jersey, Bro-Ritos, has opened its first brick and mortar Georgia location at the Collective food hall in the Coda development, in the former El Burro Pollo space. The grand opening was on November 9. The eatery serves burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and nachos.

Non-alcoholic bottle shop Soberish opens second location

The non-alcoholic bottle shop and cannabis store from Kirkwood, Soberish by Mehrnush Saadat, now has a second location in the wellness community, Serenbe. Doors opened on November 2. The shop offers a variety of non-alcoholic wines, beers, cocktail mixers, and CBD products.

Grits and Eggs Breakfast Kitchen opening a new location in Summerhill

The popular breakfast and brunch spot (they have a waitlist with live wait times listed) with locations in Midtown, Buckhead, Marietta, and Vinings will now have a new location in Summerhill starting November 5. The breakfast menu includes chicken and waffles, Ms. G’s coconut pancakes, Caribbean Jerk shrimp and grits, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches.

Tandoori Pizza and Wing Co. opens new location at Colony Square

Popular Indian restaurant Bhojanic has opened a new location of its sister eatery, Tandoori Pizza and Wing Co. inside Colony Square in Midtown. Expect chicken 65 pizza, masala fries, chicken tikka rice bowls, Kerala fried chicken sandwich, and tandoori wings on the menu.

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream chain opens first Georgia location in Midtown

The ice cream company, established in 1945, has many locations countrywide. For its first opening in Georgia, Handel’s is set to open on November 14 at Midtown Promenade. The ribbon-cutting will happen at 10 a.m. with the first 100 guests offered free ice cream for a year. The shop will also have a Tiny Doors ATL installation. Flavors include blueberry cobbler, carrot cake, coffee chocolate chip, pistachio, and dozens more.
