The Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies strongly condemns the harassment of Muslim students that took place on January 29, 2025 at the Student Union. We stand in solidarity with the Muslim Student Association and all those affected by this abhorrent act of intimidation and violence. As a department, we reaffirm our commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all students. Our thoughts are with those impacted, and we hope to serve as a resource and source of support.
