Doris is a rolling pin owned by Polly, used by her to deal with whatever, or whoever, makes her angry. For example, before Polly really got to know Anne, she threatened her, awaiting the opportunity to use old Doris on her.
Appearance[]
Doris is a rolling pin that Polly likely named. It is made out of wood, and may have previously been used by Hop Pop in the kitchen, before Polly adopted it as her weapon.
Background[]
In "Best Fronds", when the Plantar family corners Anne in the basement after she wakes up from a dream that she was trapped in a frog world (which turns out to be a reality), they suspect she's going to eat them, prompting Polly to threaten her with her rolling pin, which makes Anne think she wants to kill her. At the end of the episode, when Anne and Sprig return from the lake and are playing a board game in the basement, Polly returns with Doris and realizes Anne isn't even going to try to eat them, which makes her disappointed because she no longer has an excuse to use Doris.
