I have an older hen named Bella. As long as she has a rooster around she justs acts like a hen.
I have a hen that one year when she was molting she started crowing. She did it for a couple weeks but hasn't done it since thenI have an older hen named Bella. As long as she has a rooster around she justs acts like a hen.
When she does not have a rooster she becomes very dominate and bossy. She will sometimes attempt to mate the younger hens.
I told her be bossy all you want but you are not built for "rooster duties".
She ignores me.
Here's a photo showing their size difference I got this morning.Are they Brahma bantams or something? I’m sorry I know it’s not that important but how on earth would a Brahma let a Swedish flower be above them in the pecking order!
I guess they’re called gentle giants for a reason (ignoring mine), wouldn’t be surprised if they decide it without a fight, but just because the Brahmas become more successful with the ladies as they mature.

eta....it's probably because he's got that Black Silver coloring going on. Justasayin'
re-read it and realized you said the one on the right... darn. Lol. Ok, that is my Dark Brahma, I have two and unless they are side by side I can't say who is who, one is a little bigger than the other at this point. Previously one had a touch more white than the other.

This guy is starting to tame down, I've been picking him up fairly often recently and he's starting to get used to me. He's so heavy! I want to weight him, but I'm thinking 15 pounds?
