Last minute advice for coop/run?

I am making the final touches on our coop (prefab) and run (metal) before the babies get out there. If I missed anything, please let me know. We do have coyotes out here. And the occasional loose dog.
So…I have changed all the crappy latches, secured the window sliders, hardware clothed under the roof. I have a hardware cloth apron around the perimeter of the metal frame and I’m having sand delivered tomorrow. I’m also lining the frame with bricks. Hardware cloth will wrap the sides and chicken wire for the top with a tarp over it.
My question is…should I also put panels of some sort around the bottom third? I don’t know how ambitious a coyote will be, or raccoon for that matter.

Thank you! I’ll get pictures over the weekend and re-ask.
They’re growing so fast! I just want to be ready. Also, it’ll be easier to get my husband on board with “modifications” if I have “back up” from y’all

Re-prompt! Even state or province can be sufficient.

As an example sand in the run can work in hot dry climate; can be a nightmare in wet or cold locations.
I’m in South Carolina. It gets humid in the summer, for sure.
We are finishing up their “area” and I did put sand in the run. But not too much, so if it doesn’t work out, it’ll be gone soon enough.
Their coop is on the east side of the house. I’ve watched it during different times if day. They get the morning sun and then should be shaded by mid afternoon, which will be super helpful in the summer.
We had a little mishap with the hardware cloth, so we have to re-do the sides. I got a pallet of bricks to go around the perimeter as well. Hardware clothed the inside of the coop (it’s a pre-fab.We’re building one in the spring)
My question is about the gate. How do I wrap that gap?
Also, here are some pictures if there’s anything I’m missing. Hoping for the big move next week! The girls are growing fast!

Some good examples/ideas:

This is how I handle it (similar to 2nd example), but it's not as secure as the 1st example above. The hardware cloth on the door and the run fencing are overextended on the edges so when closed, they sandwich over each other to cove the gap.

If your are doing an external apron (recommended!) do NOT cover it with bricks, can cause critters to back up or stop and dig under. Just let grass or ? overgrow.
