A glowrod,[2] also known as a light-stick,[3] a flashlight,[4] a glowlamp,[1] or a torch,[5] was a portable hand-held device that produced light.[6] They were also used as under barrel devices, such as on the the DLT-19D blaster rifle. Stormtroopers of the Galactic Empire used multi-frequency spotlight glow rods.[7] It allowed its user to see clearer in low-light settings.[8]
When the Spectres boarded a Wookiee gunship, they found that the emergency lights were out, so Kanan Jarrus activated a glowrod to provide them with light.[2]
The Canto Bight Police Department used police glowrods to patrol the coastal city of Canto Bight on the planet Cantonica.[9]
Numerous clone troopers would attach glowrods to their helmets, including Mixer,[10] Redeye, Clone Marshal Commander Cody,[11] Flash,[12] as well as Gearshift and six other 212th clone troopers. The Mandalorian Din Djarin also utilized glowrods.[13]
