History

Thor was massacred at Las Vegas alongside other Avengers when the villains became organized and seized control of the country. In Thor's case, he was plummeted to death by Absorbing Man, who had abosrbed Scarlet Witch's magic from her corpse and was further empowered by an electromagnetic storm by Magneto. Due to Mjolnir falling from Thor's hand during battle, Las Vegas became known as Hammer Falls.
