History

Galactus' history is presumably similar to that of his Earth-616 counterpart's. As Mar-Vell lied dying on his deathbed, he was approached by the Many-Angled Ones who offered him the power to kill Death. After Mar-Vell performed a ritual that destroyed Death, the Many-Angled One corrupted the living beings of the universe, including Galactus.

The Galactus Engine being held back by Galactus-616, the Celestials, and Tenebrous

Galactus was turned into the Galactus Engine, the ultimate weapon whose size dwarfed even Celestials in size. When the forces of the Cancerverse began to invade Earth-616, the Galactus Engine was among the strike force that was sent through the Fault. Many of Earth-616's own cosmic entities—Galactus, several Celestials, and Tenebrous—barely managed to hold it back at the Fault.

The Galactus Engine presumably died along with everyone else in the Cancerverse when Thanos of Earth-616 restored Death to the reality.
