Synopsis for 1st story

The combined Avengers, Champions, and several other heroes fight off a large-scale Hydra invasion of Washington D.C. Although the battle pushes them to their breaking points, the tide gradually shifts in the heroes' favor. However, at this point a final Hydra carrier arrives containing the organization's leadership which includes Madame Hydra, Baron Zemo, Taskmaster, and numerous other villains. The heroes are stunned to see that their enemies are led by none other than Captain America, who declares that he is now a genuine disciple of Hydra and urges the other heroes to join him. Demoralized, the heroes are overpowered by a final co-ordinated attack. In the aftermath of the battle Captain America stands over the fallen heroes and lifts Mjolnir from the rubble, seemingly proving that Hydra's mission is a worthy one.
