Moroccan muse...

Maybe it's the woven Moroccan details. Maybe it's the vintage industrial setting embellished with exactly enough worn bricks. Maybe it's the flood of light with just a hint of color. It's just so compelling.
This bit {of perfection} is from Artillery, as seen gracing the likes of Lotta Agaton.

Moroccan muse...

After last weekend's adventure, staying home just seems mediocre.  At least my eyes can relish in an exotic little escape with a glimpse of this riad in Morocco through the lens of Trine Thorsen.  Soak up the color and texture.

Delicate details...

Not long ago, I was day dreaming of Morocco; now I am obsessing.  This riad {a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden} in Marrakesh has completely seduced me with its delicate details and sensual doorway.  My heart skipped a beat {maybe two} when I first saw this at Desire to Inspire
Just for the record, I could be there tomorrow.  I will wait patiently {with baited breath} for my invitation.
{Photographs by Paola Miozza for Marie Claire Italy.  Be sure to check out the rest of the riad.}

Moroccan muse...

Lately the Kingdom of Morocco has been inspiring products that make me swoon.  Here are a few products to ponder {and desire}...
Antique Moroccan Trays from John Derian Company.
A lovely peek at an antique tray paired with Moroccan inspired glassware from Tine K Home.
A versatile Moroccan Coffee Table from Cisco Brothers.
More muses from Tine K Home, intricate lanterns paired with amiable lounges.
Another lantern to brighten your space, the Tangier Hanging Lamp by Jayson Home & Garden.
Phillip Jeffries offers this Moroccan Wallpaper {in blue} to wrap your walls in exotic graphics.

Beauty with an edge...

In the very happiest of accidents, I stumbled across a tile that literally made me exclaim.  The lines are perfect, the design is flawless; I am smitten.  Edgewater Studio has set an impressively high standard for glass tile design - how ever will they crown this?
The Moroccan Detail Tile from the Connectables Collection is blissful, purely blissful.
Moroccan Classic Tile, a simplified and elegant version of the same pattern is also available.  Both versions are utterly exquisite and available in a gloss or matte finish.  Each piece is back-painted, so the possibilities are literally endless; perfection in any color you desire.
These lovely little creations would be stunning in traditional applications {a kitchen backsplash or a bathroom feature wall}, but I have something more dramatic in mind, the definitive custom headboard.  An intricate tile inset balanced and framed with rustic reclaimed timber.  Gloss and glamour meet natural and organic.  Sigh.
