Bound beauty...

These images are from Nesting {the book of bound beauty}.  Glossy pages of twenty-six different Swedish interiors. Mmmm.
{Gorgeous photographs by Pia Ulin as spotted on Hviit.}

Get bold between the sheets...

Despite my best efforts, I cannot seam to harness sunshine and will it into my day, but I can infuse a glowing ray of color to nestle just beneath my duvet.  These sheets are the epitome of Summer.
These amiable wares from Anthropologie are an irresistibly vibrant color in the delicate form of a vivid design. The Circle ‘Round Sheet Set is a lovely field of, “petite dots and bitty petals,” sprinkled on a bed of organic cotton.

{This was my brave attempt to embrace Fall - only I think I still wound up tangled in Summer.}

An unperfect gray...

Summer is over? This weekend I fell into a mildly {okay, drastically} depressing epiphany. The skies were an ambivalent gray. Summer is over. I am beginning to doubt if I will ever adjust to the fleeting sense of sunshine that is the ephemeral Pacific Northwest Summer.
The impending bed- layered with soft blankets {this gorgeous hint of greige is from Linen and Lavender}.

Pin-tucks and puckers...

I have been dreaming and drooling over the Organic Cotton Pin-tuck Duvet from West Elm for years.  Literally, years.  Every time I convince myself of its necessity in a certain color, the teasing souls at West Elm dangle a brand new hue in a brand new catalog that sends me back into old ambivalence.  I was completely sold on Clay until they came out with Sea Spray which was rivaled by Amethyst.  Just as I decided indisputably on Clay, it was discontinued.  I would make a brand new decision but it's almost time for the brand new catalog.
Here's a glimpse of my work at EcoSalon this week {take a look, maybe even leave a comment or rate my words}.
Bedroom Prejudice {Quiet Duvet + Loud Sheets = Perfection}
The Recycled Home {Sally Bailey + Recycling = Coffee Table Book}
Picnic Picks {Biodegradable + Beetles = Picnic}
Handpicked: Housewife Bliss {Mercury + Mrs.Bliss = Demijohn Bliss}

Cardboard cushion...

Confession:  I have been lurking through the archives of Lushlee.  This is one of the many delicious tastes I found.
Is it a cardboard box or somewhere soft to lay your head?  Both; it's a digitally printed pillowcase with a conscious, by Snurk.  Forty percent of the proceeds are donated to an organization dedicated to helping homeless youth.  So, if you sleep on a soft cardboard pillow, someone else may not have to sleep under a brittle cardboard box.  That's poetic.
Snurk is Dutch for snoring, which makes them well qualified to offer these sleeping tips {and facts}.

Two tea parties later...

Lately tea towels have been prying their way into my blog.  I have never noticed a specific affinity for these lovely linens, and yet, here they are again.  Perhaps not having a dishwasher is spurring me to search for a little glamour in doing the dishes?  The latest tea towel fascinations are from Ferm Living, an engaging Danish delight {thank you, decor8, for the introduction}.
Birdcage Tea Towel, Velo Tea Towel, and Lovebirds Tea Towel are three wonders of organic cotton that would be lovely {functional} kitchen embellishments.
While exploring Ferm Living, I found a beautiful collection of scientific glassware, with all the charm and intrigue of chemistry glass.
And a Stem Vase {large or small} to add a little whimsy to your space.
Possibly the most alluring category of all, Wallstickers {literally stickers for your walls, windows, or the smooth surface of your choice}.  Enjoy these sticky treats: Periodic System, Light Bulb, World Map, Lovebirds, and Powerbirds.

If your household is graced with tiny humans {children}, you will adore Ferm Living's Kids Collection
