Looking at the sparse documentation of openrsync does not create any confidence for me that it can be an acceptable substitute for rsync.In my opinion, any program that is supposed to copy files, but which is not able to make perfect copies, i.e. copies that do not lose any bit of data or metadata that was present in the original file, is just unusable garbage.
