halloween 2023

a pair of large mahogany doors opens to nothingness as you approach, causing the mist inside the room to begin spilling out into the main hall. your eyes take a moment to adjust as you proceed into the dark, almost as if this area is meant to be off-limits. after blinking a few times, you notice there's trinkets and collectibles everywhere you look, fitting in perfectly amongst the dungeon aesthetic of dark wood and cobblestone.

last year, i participated in a personal web roundtable of halloween events, and this year was no different, though my celebration was centered it around the 32-bit cafe halloween event, in which a lot of community members and pixel cliques around the web participated!
