How to Draw a Raccoon - Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Start by drawing the head. It is a wide "U" shape with a pointy nose at the bottom.
Step 2: Add two round ears on the top of the head.
Step 3: Draw two tiny eyes in the middle of the face. There is a round nose at the very tip of the bottom bump. Add large rings around the eyes to give the raccoon his masked appearance.
Step 4: Now draw a very curved back. It will curve down toward the rump. Starting at the bottom of the snout add a short front leg. The top part of the leg is wider than the hand at the bottom. Don't forget to add the delicate fingers on the hand. Continue the other side of the arm back up.
Step 5: Start the short belly line at the top of the front leg line. Next draw a hind leg. It should be the same size as the front leg. Keep drawing the back of the leg upwards almost to the end of the rump line. There are very long toes on the back foot.
Step 6: Between the rump line and the back of the hind leg line draw the thick bushy tail. It is about the same length as the body. There are segments or lines across the tail.
Step 7: Finish by adding another front leg right under the head. There is another hind foot just below the belly. Remember the long toes on both feet.
