پیکر جسم و جاں سے پہلے بھی

شمامہ افق

پیکر جسم و جاں سے پہلے بھی

خاک تھی خاکداں سے پہلے بھی

ایسا لگتا ہے ہم ملے ہیں کہیں

اس زمیں آسماں سے پہلے بھی

ہم نے تعمیر کر کے چھوڑ دیا

اک مکاں لا مکاں سے پہلے بھی

آنکھ سے پہلے بھی تو منظر تھے

ذائقے تھے زباں سے پہلے بھی

ہم کہیں تھے کہیں نہیں تھے افق

دہر میں کن‌ فکاں سے پہلے بھی

KHak thi KHak-dan se pahle bhi

aisa lagta hai hum mile hain kahin
is zamin aasman se pahle bhi

hum ne tamir kar ke chhoD diya
ek makan la-makan se pahle bhi

aankh se pahle bhi to manzar the
zaiqe the zaban se pahle bhi

hum kahin the kahin nahin the ufuq
dahr mein kun-fakan se pahle bhi
