وقت کے گھاٹ اُتر جانا ہے

پھول نے کھِل کے بکھر جانا ہے

غم کے پیچھے خوشی ہوتی ہے

دونوں نے آ کے گزر جانا ہے

زندگی ، یا تو مرے پیچھے آ

یا بتا مجھ کو ، کدھر جانا ہے

دیکھتا ہو گا کوئی راہ مری

اب مجھے لوٹ کے گھر جانا ہے

چل پڑی ہے کسی دھیان کی رَو

اب مرا بخت سنور جانا ہے

کیسے جاوٴ گے اکیلے گھر تک

ساتھ آ جاوٴ ، اگر جانا ہے

اس سے پہلے کہ مری رات ڈھلے

آنکھ کو خواب سے بھر جانا ہے

یوں تو موسم نے بدلنا ہے ابھی

ہجر نے دل میں ٹہر جانا ہے
