جذبۂ عشق اگر دل میں نہ پیدا ہوتا

پنا لعل نور

جذبۂ عشق اگر دل میں نہ پیدا ہوتا

میں سمجھتا ہوں مرے حق میں یہ اچھا ہوتا

اس قدر شدت غم پر تو یہی لازم تھا

دل نہ ہوتا مرا پتھر کا کلیجہ ہوتا

بے خودی ہے کہ تری بزم میں لے آئی ہے

ہوش ہوتا تو یہاں کس لیے رسوا ہوتا

اک نظر دیکھ کے کچھ اور بڑھا دی وحشت

اس سے اچھا تو یہی تھا کہ نہ دیکھا ہوتا

مجھ کو منظور نہ تھی اپنی ہی شہرت ورنہ

میں تو وہ تھا کہ مرا عرش پہ چرچا ہوتا

زیست بھی موت بھی دونوں کے تمہیں ہو مالک

منصفی یہ تھی کہ حق ایک پہ میرا ہوتا

کچھ حقیقت نہ سہی حسن عقیدت ہی سہی

نورؔ جینے کے لیے کچھ تو سہارا ہوتا

jazba-e-ishq agar dil mein na paida hota
main samajhta hun mere haq mein ye achchha hota

is qadar shiddat-e-gham par to yahi lazim tha
dil na hota mera patthar ka kaleja hota

be-KHudi hai ki teri bazm mein le aai hai
hosh hota to yahan kis liye ruswa hota

ek nazar dekh ke kuchh aur baDha di wahshat
is se achchha to yahi tha ki na dekha hota

mujh ko manzur na thi apni hi shohrat warna
main to wo tha ki mera arsh pe charcha hota

zist bhi maut bhi donon ke tumhin ho malik
munsifi ye thi ki haq ek pe mera hota

kuchh haqiqat na sahi husn-e-aqidat hi sahi
'nur' jine ke liye kuchh to sahaara hota
