ہے دم اپنا اپنا عدم اپنا اپنا

یہاں ہر کسی کو ہے ہے غم اپنا اپنا

نہیں کوئی تقلید اب خود سری ہے

سبھی کا ہے نقش قدم اپنا اپنا

کہاں کوئی بندہ کہاں بندگی ہے

مگر چاہتے ہیں حرم اپنا اپنا

ہر اک شخص کا اک الگ فلسفہ ہے

صنم دین دوزخ ارم اپنا اپنا

تری بزم کی ہے یہ راحت گھڑی بھر

چلیں گے سبھی لے کے غم اپنا اپنا

فداؔ کس مصنف کی تصنیف کیا ہے

سمجھ اپنی اپنی قلم اپنا اپنا

hai dam apna apna adam apna apna
yahan har kisi ko hai hai gham apna apna

nahin koi taqlid ab KHud-sari hai
sabhi ka hai naqsh-e-qadam apna apna

kahan koi banda kahan bandagi hai
magar chahte hain haram apna apna

har ek shaKHs ka ek alag falsafa hai
sanam din dozaKH iram apna apna

teri bazm ki hai ye rahat ghaDi bhar
chalenge sabhi le ke gham apna apna

'fida' kis musannif ki tasnif kya hai
samajh apni apni qalam apna apna
