آصفہ نشاط

کیا ضروری ہے شاعری کی جائے

دل جلا کر ہی روشنی کی جائے

بعض چہرے بہت حسین سہی

پھر بھی کتنوں سے دوستی کی جائے

اک مسلسل شکست کا احساس

ایسی خواہش نہ پھر کبھی کی جائے

یہ محبت کے جو تقاضے ہیں

ان تقاضوں میں کچھ کمی کی جائے

اب بھی کچھ لوگ یہ سمجھتے ہیں

زہر پی کر ہی خود کشی کی جائے

میں نے یہ فیصلہ کیا ہے نشاطؔ

فیصلوں میں بھی اب کمی کی جائے
