Integrated Pest Management


Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an agriculture-based educational curriculum that empowers individuals to make informed decisions regarding the management of agricultural systems and environments.


TEF pioneered the use of IPM methods in Thai formal and non-formal education and IPM provides the basic framework for the REAL education approach. IPM methods as part of the REAL model have been integrated into primary and secondary school curriculums, as well as being used in Community Learning Centers (CLC’s) throughout Thailand and in Farmer Field Schools trainings.

IPM in Agriculture and Technology Colleges


In 1998, The Division of the Agricultural College, Department of Vocational Education joined with TEF to adopt the Integrated Pest Management curriculum into 35 out of 47 colleges nationwide. TEF provided technical supports for capacity building of the teachers through season-long training.
