What is Adjective?
Adjective is a word which describes
or gives more information about a
noun or pronoun.
For example:
He has beautiful smile.
He is handsome.
Adjectives

Adjectives describe nouns in terms of such


qualities as size, color, number, and kind.

A heavy rainstorm soaked the campsite.


(heavy describes “rainstorm”)

The lazy dog sat on the rug.

What is adverb?

A word that describes or modifies a verb,


adjective or another adverb.

Example:
-he swims well.
-he plays the flute beautifully.

• We use adverb of manner to describe how


something happens
