Stereotypes are results of
incomplete or distorted information
accepted as fact without question. A
stereotype is simply a widely held
belief that an individual is a member
of a certain group based on
characteristics.
It is the belief that all people within the
same racial, ethnic, or cultural group will act
alike and share the same beliefs and
attitudes. Stereotypes ignore individual
identity. This is a type of discrimination.
Sometimes, it is an exaggerated belief that
can be positive or negative but generalizes
without allowing for differences.
Example:
All Blacks are good at sports
Men are strong and do all the work.
Women can’t do well of a job as a
man.
All people who lived in England are
intelligent.
All Asians like to eat.
The elderly have health
issues and behave like
children.
All politicians show care to
people.
1. All the government officials are
honest.
2. I like to eat apples and mangoes.

4. Women focus on taking care of
their children than on their physical
appearance.
5. Filipinos are the best lovers.
6. All babies are naturally adorable.

Point of View (viewpoint)
These feelings or opinions that one
expresses on particular materials like
shows and/or [Link] is the
standpoint of a person on a particular
thing that he/she saw, read or
experienced.
PROPAGANDA- is the
spreading of ideas, information,
or rumor for the purpose of
influence people to persuade,
believe, buy or do something.

if it is influenced by stereotype, propaganda or point of
view. Write S if it is stereotype, P for propaganda or PV
for point of view.
