CURRICULUM
Is all methods which are knowledge,
skills, attitudes, values and learning
activities planned and directed by a
faculty for specific group of students for
a particular purpose.
• Learning: is the mental activity by means of which
knowledge, skills, attitudes, values and ideals
acquired resulting in modification of behavior.
Learning is what you do for yourself.

• Education: is a process which is directed to produce


describe changes in the behavior of the learner.
Education is what people do to you.

The purpose of teaching
To help learner to:

Principles of teaching and learning:

1. Is an active participant not passive receiver.

2. Can see the relationship between planned


learning activities and the specific
objectives,

3. Is rewarded for the success rather than


punished for the failure.
Must receive immediate feedback in his .4

5. Must receive at the beginning of any study


course clearly stated educational objectives and
methods of evaluation.

6. Can periodically practice what he is learning.

7. Must have opportunity chance to learn by


multiple modes of instructions e.g lecture, small
group discussion or seminar.
Laws of learning - teaching:

What to teach (subject).

Whom to teach (student).

Why to teach (goal).

How to teach (method s of teaching).


Qualities of good teacher:
1) Feasible, patient, discipline, helpful, cheerful,
respectful, well groomed, and well dressed.

2) Capable of making the learner to understand the


lessons.

3) Has ability to control the class.

4) Has a clear voice.

5)She should make a distance between his and his


student, that mean not to be too familiar with student.
6. Must be physically and mentally fit and
mature.
7.Should like his student.
8.Must have memory.
9. Explain the lessons clearly and using
examples in teaching.
10.Must be honest and fair.
11.Must facilitate the learning process.
12.He must look into his self to discover his
faults and try to correct them
13. The teacher must be a Professional
competencies
1)Develop a thorough knowledge.
2)Maintain and expands this own knowledge
through reading, research, clinical practice,
and continuing education.
3)Learner need to trust the clinical experts of
their teacher
• the information given is accurate.
• Skills are being demonstrated correctly.
• Become(+ve) role model for learners.
• Qualities of good learner:
1. Responsible.
2. Has self confidence.
3. More self-motivation always seeks learning without
force
4. Open minded.
5. Flexible.
6. Has a good memory.
7. Stable has intact personality.
8. Has friendly manner
9. Like to teach.
