THE SYMPOSIUM

#MASTERING THE ARTS OF TEACHING: STRATEGIES,

PLANS, MATERIALS, AND PRACTICES.
THE SYMPOSIUM (takeaways)

On the day of the symposium, my friends and I, who are

classmates, joined the event together. Our teachers told us that
we needed to arrive very early at the venue where the
symposium would be held. The venue was at Cyber Tower 2,
and we were also instructed to wear the outfits we used during
the Erudition event. For me, it was challenging to wake up at 5
a.m. to prepare because I’m not used to it. However, I did
everything I could to wake up early for the symposium.
After my preparations, I immediately left our house to arrive
early at the symposium. When we got there, I was amazed
because it was my first time entering the Theater Room of Cyber
Tower 2. The room was very spacious, and it was air-
conditioned too.
When the event started, the first thing we did was pray.
Afterward, the speakers introduced themselves one by one,
including Ms. Thalia, our teacher in the TMATH subject. I
listened carefully and took notes on the important information
and topics. It was also nerve-wracking because of the "spin the
wheel" activity, where if your name was chosen, you would be
asked a question and required to answer it.

I COULD SAY ITS HARD, BUT I MADE IT!
Teaching Demo takeaways

During the teaching demo I was really bliss because of the

success of our teaching demo and the positive
feedback on our instructional materials highlighted
the importance of thorough preparation. From
planning the content to designing effective
materials, every detail mattered in delivering an
engaging and organized lesson.

The approval and commendations we received for our

instructional materials showed that well-designed resources are
crucial in making complex topics like TMATH easier for
students to understand. Clear visuals, interactive elements, and
student-centered designs made a significant difference in the
learning process.

This demo was not just a requirement but also an opportunity to

grow as an educator. It strengthened my commitment to
providing high-quality, student-centered instruction in every
lesson I teach.
PORTFOLIO ( takeaways)

In creating the portfolio for TMATH, I can say that we didn’t

face too much problems. It was easy for us to compile
everything. Then we’re planning to pass this during our time
maybe on December 3, 2025. We really want to submit this
ahead of the deadline for less burden to think.
Me and Danica designated the works for us to do it fastly. She
will do the other thing and I will do the other things too. So we
really did the parts smoothly.
LESSON PLAN ( takeaways)

In making our lesson plan it wasn’t that hard and difficult to us.
Since we talk that we will do it together in our vacant time for us
to have a SMART lesson plan. As we worked together, we
shared ideas and strategies that enhanced the content and flow of
our lesson plan. This collaborative environment was a great
opportunity to learn from each other and strengthen our teaching
skills.
Knowing that we carefully prepared the lesson plan gave us
confidence to teach effectively. A well-thought-out plan
provides a strong foundation for guiding students through the
learning process.

Since the process wasn’t too hard for us, we realized that
simplicity and teamwork are key. Instead of overcomplicating
things, we focused on what was necessary to make the lesson
clear, engaging, and aligned with the learning objectives.
This experience showed me that creating lesson plans doesn’t
have to be difficult when approached with teamwork, proper
time management, and clear goals. It also reaffirmed the
importance of preparation in ensuring a successful teaching
experience.
