today is all about the simple
tenses of the verb
- Let us first define verb?
-So, what is verb class? - Verbs is a word used to
describe an action or state

- Verbs are words that show
action while tense is the form
of the verb that shows when
the action takes place.
- We have three simple tenses
of the verb. The Simple
Present tense, the simple past
tense and the simple future
tense.
Simple Present Tense
- we use the simple present
tense when an action is
happening right now, or when
it happens regularly. It is used
to describe actions that are
factual or habitual things that
occur in the present but not
necessarily happening right
now. It is formed by using the
present/base form of the verb.
Examples :
1. I work in Manila.
2. The program starts at
8:00 am.
3. I'm nineteen years old.

Simple Past Tense
-the simple past tense is used
to talk about a completed
action. It is formed by using
the past form of the verb. It is
the form of a verb used to
describe on action that
happened before the present
time and is no longer
happening.
Examples :

yesterday.
2. I became a teacher two
years ago.
3. She ate with me
yesterday.

Simple Future Tense every night.
-the simple future tense
indicate that an action is in the
future. It is formed by using
the helping verb will and the
base form of the verb.

later.
3. She will be singing
modern songs in the
program.

Verbs have three simple
