I hope you are doing fine.
Today I am going to introduce you to tenses.
There are mainly 3 types of tenses- past, present and future , which are further
Divided into more categories .
ACT 2 (PAST TENSE)
Narrator(Paarth) –
the first tense Is past tense . it is used to tell something that has already taken place.
Let us see the subcategories of past tense.
PAST SIMPLE (Prataksh) –
Hello everybody I am past simple .
I am used to describe an action that happened in the past
For example. I washed the dishes.
PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE (Prabath) –
Hi , I am used to describe an action that was in progress in the past .
For example – I was playing football.
PAST PERFECT TENSE (Zoya) –
I , am used to describe events that happened before other events in the past.
For example . I had finished the work by 4 pm.
PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Rehraj) –
I am the combination of perfect and continuous past tenses . I am used to denote an action that
started and continued till a specific time in the past .
For example he had been playing football until he got injured .
ACT 3 (PRESENT TENSE)

Now as we have discussed about past tense , we are going to explore present tense.
Present tense denotes the time in present .
Its categories are-
PRESENT SIMPLE(Siddhi) -
Hi, I am used to describe an action which is happening right now or happens regularly.
For example . I go to school.
PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE(Pihu) –
I , am used to describe an action happening in the present
For example I am playing.
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Pihu) –
I am used to describe actions that began in the past and may continue in the present or were
completed recently.
For example I have drunk my tea.
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Samar) –
My use is to describe actions that started in the past and are still ongoing .
For example I have been reading the book since yesterday.
ACT 4(FUTURE TENSE)
Narrator(Paarth) –
Now as we have discussed past and present tense we will be doing future tense .
It is used to describe events that will happen in the future .
Future tense is also divided into 4 categories .
FUTURE SIMPLE TENSE (Soham) –
I am used for actions that will occur in the future
For example. I will play.
FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE(Yakshi) –
I , am used to denote actions that will progress in the future .
For example. I will be going to Mumbai .
FUTURE PERFECT TENSE (Samar) –
I refer to a completed action in the future .
For example. The princess will have reached to the palace.
FUTURE PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE (Rehraj) –
I refer to an action that will continue till a point of time in the future.
For example. The king will have been ruling the country for 20 years.
ACT 5 (ENDING) –
Narrator(Paarth) – Now as we have discussed and under stood about the trio of tenses (past
present and future) we know that time in the English language works only with the help of tenses.
