Development Training in a Team Sport Event” in connection to one of the Island Secondary Schools’
Physical Education Culminating Activities for your perusal and approval. The participants of this activity
will be the teachers and students who are sports enthusiasts, specifically, volleyball enthusiasts.

TITLE : Balibolista sa Isla: Skill Development Training in a Team Sports

BACKGROUND :

As volleyball continues to grow in popularity around the world, so too does its variation-giving everyone a
chance to try their hand at playing. In fact, volleyball in the Philippines is part of their culture. The
Philippines has enjoyed volleyball as a nation since the 1900s. At present, it is among the six most popular
sports in the country. Moreover, volleyball is hugely popular throughout the Philippines because of its
social aspects- playing together as a team creates strong bonds among players and fans like.

With the continual growing popularity of volleyball, students and teachers in the island schools in Tabaco
City are also motivated and enthusiastic on playing volleyball. Teachers are inspired to create teams for
their school. With the students and teachers’ determination to learn this sports and be equipped with the
skills needed to play this team sports, the 3 secondary schools in the island of Tabaco came up with an
activity entitled “Balibolista sa Isla: A Skill Development Training in a Team Sports Event:
Volleyball”

This training will help both the students and teachers establish a good exercise program or training program
to stay physically and mentally fit, learn and execute the skills in volleyball and demonstrate sportsmanship
and cooperative skills.

DESCRIPTION:

This activity is a 2-day training program on skill development for interested students or sports enthusiasts
of San Miguel National High School, Hacienda High School and Malictay High School on November 17-
18, 2022 at Visita Covered Court Visita, Tabaco City.

OBJECTIVES:

• To establish a good exercise program or training program to stay physically and mentally fit.
• To learn and execute the skills involved in a team sport.
• To demonstrate sportsmanship and cooperative skills.
• To identify students with potential skills.

NOTE: Strict implementation and observance of the health protocols will be observed during the conduct
of the activity. No facemask/face shield, No Entry will be implemented, and their temperature will be

FUND SOURCE:

The source of fund for the said activity will be taken from the registration of the interested students
which is Php 100 and donations from stakeholders.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION SCHEME

The participants are expected to meet the aforementioned objectives by transpiring what were learned
during the orientation. A training/activity completion report with documentations will be submitted at the
Division Office.

DOCUMENTARY REQUIREMENTS
DURATION, PROPOSED DATE AND VENUE OF THE ACTIVITY:
The training will be on November 10-11, 2022 @ Visita Covered Court, Visita Tabaco City. Health and
safety protocols will be observed.

Expected participants are the sports enthusiasts from the junior and senior high school students of San
Miguel National High School, Hacienda High School and Malictay High School.
