Minutes of SIKAP Orientation for Teachers

Date: August 22, 2022

 The Opening prayer was led by Mrs. Anna A. Abanto and followed by a Roll Call. All
teachers are present.
 SIKAP sa Pagbasa at Pagkwenta- Sapat at Inobatibong Kaalaman na Angkop sa
Pagpapaunlad
 Phil-IRI Post Test Results S.Y. 2021-2022 English Elem.
 Non and Frustration Reader Level- a total of 37, 959 learners
 SIKAP Goal- Improve the academic performance of learners in Zamboanga Sibugay S.Y
2022-2023
 SIKAP Objectives- Increase at least 10% MPS in Math from its baseline of 45.5%. At least
50% of the 37,959 Non and Frustration Readers be at the Instructional Level.
 SIKAP- a project under I-READ Program
- Address the priority problems of learners
- Division Recovery Plan
- Components aligned to the pillars of Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa
 Strategies
- Assessment- Organize Division SIKAP TWG and Writers, conduct literacy
and numeracy assessment using PHIL-IRI, unified assessment after 50-Day
SIKAP implementation
- Time Adjustment- ONE HOUR daily for 50 school days, MWF focused on
teaching reading, TTH math, during SIKAP time learners, shall be group
and each group shall be given appropriate activities. Focus to the Non
and Frustration reader
- Capacity building- school shall conduct LAC sessions with topics on the
teaching of Reading and Math, conduct orientation to parents
- Mapping and Inventory Activities- utilization of the textbooks, MELC-
Based Activities
- Development of Learning Materials- schools to conduct LAC sessions on
the development of LR, recognize teachers who developed innovative LR
- Promotion of Culture of Literacy and Numeracy- Advocate parents and
encourage community stakeholders
- Reward System- Encourage schools and districts to recognize school
heads, teachers to community stakeholders who greatly contributed for
the success of SIKAP
- Monitoring and Evaluation-
- Sustainability Plan- at the end of the school year Phil-IRI results shall be
analyzed by the EPSs concerned and make necessary adjustments based
on the results.
