topic for today is CELL. And what is a cell?

Have you wondered what composes our
body? Okay, so our body is made up of
trillions of building blocks of life called cells. A
cell is the smallest unit of a living organism
that is responsible for all structural,
biochemical, and logical functions of an
organism.

Robert Hooke ma’am
That’s right. Cells were discovered by an
English scientist, Robert Hooke in 1665. He
was looking at a thin slice of cork under a
microscope then he saw that the cork
showed regular patterns of tiny, open
spaces. The pattern reminded him of tiny
rooms that he called "cells". The cells Hooke
saw were dead. They were the remains of
cells that were once alive but it plays a vital
role because it opened the study of cells.

The functions of cells are what make the cell
very important. What are those? As you’ve
seen in the chart, the body of all living
organisms is made up of one or more cells
as students f was saying. It’s the
organizational diagram that shows how cells
made up a whole organism. From cells to
tissues, tissues to organs, organs to organ
systems, organ systems to organism. Our
body activities for every day are performed
by cells. Cells carry out thousands of
biochemical reactions each minute and
reproduce new cells that perpetuate life and
also cells carry hereditary units.
