5. Free from ego-based anger /

others for it

How can reflection help you in exercising freedom and making choices?
Ans: Self-reflection necessitates in-depth and sustained thought. As a result, logically thought-out
decisions are more likely to be long-lasting. Making decisions is not an easy task, especially when the
consequences are high. We frequently regret decisions taken in the midst of emotional upheaval or
rash reasoning. This is a broad statement, as instinctual decisions may be more effective for some
people. The essential thing to remember is that we should not take our ability to make decisions for
granted, and we should take time to think on them.

Let’s Do More

1. Jenny’s family is well-known for being wealthy and influential. However, her family faced hard
times this year because of the pandemic. Their small restaurant closed and they were forced to sell
most of their possessions and live a much simpler life. Jenny, however, wishes to maintain her image
among her friends. She has resorted to borrowing money from relatives to keep up with her well-off
barkadas.

Ans: A happy life is one that is lived simply. People have a tendency to believe that the more they
have, the better.
The more materialistic possessions people own, the better life they will have. Everyone is so
engrossed in
their goods, which would turn their world upside down if life became difficult.

Ans: I would be more cautious with my activities if I were Matthew. I'll inform my teacher.

What is the most significant decision that you have made in your life so far? Describe how this has
affected you.

Ans: I offered the homeless family food and money, which made them happy and smiling.
It reminds me of how tiny things can brighten someone's day.

In what way can you change or improve your behavior so that you will be better to uphold human
freedom?

Ans: Be responsible - in everything we do, keep in mind that it will have an impact on others.
Freedom is always accompanied by responsibility.

Care for others - having freedom does not imply that we may do whatever we want; we must also
consider how our activities will effect others.

Always think about what you've done; by doing so, we'll be able to figure out how to act or respond
better the next time.
