In 2020, under the theme "Clean Hands for the Future of the Nation", the school featured good handwashing practices during the pandemic. The celebrations were successful thanks to cooperation from teachers, students, and parents.

    AQUILINO BANAAG ELEMENTARY SCHOOL with its teaching personnel and pupils
    participated in the celebration of Global Hand washing Day last October 15,2018 which was
    in line with DepEd Order No. 10 s. 2016 with the theme “Clean Hands-A Recipe for Health”.
    This activity focuses on the links between handwashing and food – including food hygiene
    and nutrition. Handwashing is an important part of keeping food safe, preventing diseases,
    and helping children grow strong.

    The celebration was successfully conducted because of the cooperation of teachers,


    learners and parents as well.

    Handwashing with soap is one of the key elements of DepEd’s Comprehensive


    Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in schools (WINS) Program as stipulated in DepEd
    Order No. 10, s. 2016. In line with this, Global Handwashing Day is annually celebrated every
    15th day of October to advocate and raise awareness on the significance of washing hands
    with soap.
    This year, the Global Handwashing Theme “Clean Hands for All” focuses on the links
    between handwashing and food including food hygiene and nutrition. This gives importance
    to handwashing in keeping food safe, preventing diseases and helping children grow.

    So, to comply with DepEd memorandum, Aquilino Banaag Elementary School


    participated in the global handwashing day. The said program was joined by teachers and
    leaners in all grade levels.

    The celebration was successfully conducted because of the cooperation of teachers,


    learners and parents as well.

    In compliance with DepEd Order No. 10 s.2016, AQUILINO BANAAG


    ELEMENTARY SCHOOL participated in the celebration of Global Hand washing
    Day last October 15, 2020 with the theme “Malinis na Kamay para sa
    Kinabukasan ng Bayan”. This is to feature good practices on promoting
    handwashing across schools, communities and workplace settings amid the
    pandemic. The said program was participated by the school head, teachers and
    learners per grade level.

    The celebration was successfully conducted because of the cooperation


    of teachers, learners and parents as well.
