of the book (e.g., cover, title, page, etc.) EN2BPK-IIb-4

YOUR LESSON FOR TODAY

What I Need to Know
There are common terms in English used to identify the parts
of a book. Cover to cover is Front cover, Title page, Preface,
Body of the book, Index, Glossary, and the Back Cover. Every
part has its own definition in relation to a book.

book from any mishandling. The next is where you can find the
name of the title of the book called Title page. The next page is
the copyright page, wherein the name of the author, its publishing
company and date of publication can be found.
Preface is where you can read the writer’s ideas about the
book. Table of Contents is where you can find the title and page of
stories. Glossary is where a reader can find the meaning of some
vocabulary words. Index is located at the back page.
