SSG Election for the School Year

2019
INTRODUCTION

“A leader will always be born.”

It is in this adage where the idea of selecting and electing new SSG officers
every school year is born. Aside from the teachers, the students are given the
prerogative to develop their leadership skills as they engage themselves in organizing
their fellows in every tasks given to them with the guidance of an adviser.

This process of selection is usually done before the school year ends, and the
students who were elected by their fellow students take their oath in the opening of
the next school year, usually in the month of June.

ACTIVITIES BEFORE THE ELECTION

It requires conscientious planning to draft and make the election happen. This
is why, the previous SSG Officers, in the presence of the adviser, conducted a meeting
with the agendum primarily on the SSG Election. All the previous SSG officers had a
perfect attendance on the chosen date of the meeting, manifesting their enthusiasm to
finally find out who will be the next ones to follow their tasks which they would be
leaving behind.

Out from the meeting, the officers decided to designate individuals who will be
taking charge and monitor at the same time during the election proper. They have
arrived in the consensus of creating COMELEC officers from the previous SSG officers.

After the meeting, the SSG officers released documents necessary for the filing
of the students who wish to join the said organization, with the supervision again of
the adviser. These papers include Certificates of Candidacy and Parents’ Consent. The
students who expressed their desire to be elected in the position were given ample
time to ask permission from their parents and decide within themselves if they wanted
to be held in any position.
