A. Routinely Activities

Good morning class

Good morning maam


Let’s all stand and pray

(Everyone will stand)

Before we start, kindly pick the pieces of paper


and arranged your chairs.

B. Checking of Attendance

Who’s absent?

None maam

Very good, all of you are present?

C. Review

Class before we proceed to our new topic lets have


some recap regarding our topic yesterday.

What was our topic yesterday?


Maam its all about methods of cooking
vegetables and vegetables cut.

What are the different methods of cooking


vegetables and vegetables cut?

Maam steaming, roasting, paysanne, boiling,


grilling, macedoine, sautéing, brunoise,
mirepoix, julienne.

Very good class, I think you are now ready for our
new topic.
D. Motivation

Maam its all about table napkin.

E. Discussion

Today we are going to learn the different kinds of


napkin folding.

Any idea about napkin folding?

Maam napkin folding is the art of folding the


napkins for neatness and beauty uses.

Very good, napkin folding is also folded in


interesting shape often makes in dining festives.

Now let’s start:

( the teacher will demonstrate and the student will


read the steps)

1. The candle fold Fold the napkin in half diagonally.


Fold up the bottom edge about one inch.
Turn the napkin over and roll it up.
Stand the candle.

2. The pyramid fold


Lay the napkin flat out in front of you.
Fold the napkin diagonally in half.
Fold the bottom right corner towards the centre.
Repeat the same fold but this time on the left.
Flip the napkin over so the open end is facing away
from you.
Fold the napkin in half taking the bottom of the
diamond to the top.
Tuck your thumbs underneath centre of the
triangle and at the same time.

3. The rose bud fold


Fold the napkin in a half triangular shape.
Starting at the bottom, roll the napkin but not all
the way.
Flip the napkin.
Roll the bottom of the napkin into a wheel shape.
When finished rolling, tuck the loose end into the
wheel.

4. The banana fold


Fold the napkin into half to from a triangle with
the point in the top.
Fold the right and left corners up to the top to
form diamond.
Bring the bottom point up to within one inch of
the top point.
Fold the same point back down to the center down
edge.
Fold the left and right corners back behind and
tuck the left corner to the right.
Fall down the top front points on each side,
tucking them into the folded cuff.
IV. Application

Class I need a volunteer to demonstrate the napkin


folding and you will going to apply what you have
learned.
