I. Objectives:
A. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of concepts and principles in preparing
the dining room/restaurant area for service.

B. Performance Standard
The learner demonstrates knowledge and skills in food and beverage services
related to table setting, table skirting, and napkin folding in accordance with the
proper procedures and guidelines.

C. Objectives/

At the end of the lesson, students are expected to:
1. Identify different types of napkin folding.
2. Perform different types of napkin folding.

Materials: table napkin, powerpoint presentation and real object

Before we start our lesson, let us all stand
and pray Pray

Please have a seat.

Checking of attendance (the teacher will ask


the students who monitored the attendance) There’s no absent Ma’am

Ok, Lets proceed.


A. Review previous lesson or Presenting the new lesson

Class I will group you into 2. Each group


will be given a puzzle and form a picture out
of this puzzle.

Establishing the purpose of the lesson

Our lesson for today is about napkin
folding.

B. Presenting examples/ instances of the new lesson

We will now watch a video that shows different


types of napkin folding, so be attentive as the
video play you can also write down the name
of napkin folding that you have seen in the video.

C. Discussing new concepts and practicing new skills

I will show you how to make different


kinds of napkin folding. But before that
let’s define first what is napkin folding
Anyone from the class?

Okay very good, you have a nice idea.


Napkin folding is an art of folding table

So let’s start.
On the first napkin fold I am going to
demonstrate step by step procedure as you ( The teacher will demonstrate step

4. Start in the right side roll until you
reach the tip and tuck it inside.

4. Double candle 1. Fold napkin half diagonally.

2. In the open tip roll napkin.

3. Fold napkin in half.

Let us now move on to our next activity.


This time you will be divided into 4 groups.
Each group will be given an envelope that
has procedure how to fold napkin. I will give
you 2 minutes to perform it. The leader of the
group will present it.

F. Making generalizations and abstractions about the lesson

What have you learned today? We have learned about napkin


folding.

And what is napkin folding? Ma’am napkin folding is art of


folding napkin for neatness and
