Lesson 32. Egg shell Mosaic

Materials:
 Short cardboard, 8*11
 Egg shells
 Paste
 Ruler
 Water color and brush

Explanation:
A mosaic can be made out of different objects. The mosaic of the church is made of glass,
the mosaic of the floor and wall is made of small pieces of stone or wood.
In the previous lessons, you have made a paper mosaic. This time, you have to make a
mosaic out of egg shells.

Evaluation Number 22
Directions:
1. Make a design on a cardboard.
2. Crush some egg shells.
3. Put paste inside the framework of the design.
4. Place each piece of crushed egg shells inside the design.
5. If you want to have a mosaic on the background, color the background with a color that is
different from the mosaic design. You can use water color or tina.
6. Make your own mosaic. The example below serve as model.

7. Label your art design as “Egg shell Mosaic” and write “Evaluation Number 22” below the
design.
8. Rate your art design using the following rubrics.
CRITERIA RATING
5 4 3 2 1
1. Following the procedures in making the design
2. Using appropriate materials in creating the design
3. Logical arrangement of ideas presented
4. Showing creative expression of ideas presented
GRAND TOTAL RATING ÷ 4 CRITERIA
AVERAGE RATING
Example: 5+5+4+3 = 17 ÷ 4 = 4.25
9. Send every rating for every evaluation done.
10. Compile your art design in an Art Album and submit the album at the end of the semester.
