Neighbourhood Level Migrant Human Force and their Heartbreaking Fight to Survive the difficult times. The lockdown of cities has left lakhs of daily wage workers and migrant human force stranded across cities. With no trains or buses to board, some have to walk for two days to get back to their villages, carrying children on their shoulders, others are cycling home. The cities where they’ve come in search for work have come to a standstill – shops have downed shutters, construction work has halted. They have no income coming in. How do they feed themselves, leave alone pay rent. The major reason for the mass migration could be, the compact spaces they are residing cannot accommodate any if the social distancing rules are applied (a six-foot distance between you and others to contain the spread of the disease *Ministry of Health & Family Welfare ).
