Affective : find pleasure in separating group of objects into fourths.

Flashcard drill on recognizing ½ and ¼
whole.
4. Review
Pass the ball while singing the song “A
Whole”. As the music stops, the pupil holding
the ball will write the halves of one number
on the board.

This morning, he gathered 8 fruits.
He is thinking of giving these to four good
children.

fruits and vegetables from the math man’s
farm?
B. Developmental Activities
1. Presentation
a. Show mat man’s farm how will Math mag
separate it fruits for the 4 Children’s? Would
you like to guess how many will each child
get?
Write it on your Show-Me-Board call four
pupils in front. Have them stand n a row.
Give each pupil one fruit at a time until all the
fruits at a time until all the fruits were given.
Does each child have the same number of
fruits?
What is ¼ of 8?
Exactly!
b. Role playing
Call some pupils.
Have the pupils act out the situation and
demonstrate how each set of objects can be
separated into fourths.
